There's 30 melons in every stage. (and a whole bunch of other fruit that don't matter to me) Basically, I grab all the melons as fast as I can. I plan on doing this to most/all of the levels, but page 6 was hard for me when I was a kid...In terms of finding the melons, anyways. I wonder how far I'll go with this before I forget about it...About 16secs into the video, I accidentally push L and don't even notice. The L button turns off/on the frame that displays all the fruit you have eaten so far. Sorry about that!Oh, and the color of the Yoshi doesn't really matter/affect whether I grab the melons or not. I just wanted to pick Red Yoshi. ^.^
